Privacy policy
Python Group ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
1. What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us. When you email or phone us about a project, that may include your name, contact details, the address or location of a site, and details of the home you are planning. This website has no account system, and no contact form that stores information on the site itself.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss your project.
- To prepare and manage the planning, design coordination, pricing and delivery of a project, if you engage us.
- To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your agreement.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is needed for your project, and only with people who need it:
- Our Head of Construction, a licensed Master Builder, and our construction team.
- The trades and subcontractors engaged on your project.
- Architects, designers, engineers, consultants and other professionals working on your project.
- Service providers that help us run our business, such as email, file storage and accounting providers.
- Councils, regulators or other authorities, where the law or a consent process requires it.
Where a service provider is based outside New Zealand, your information may be stored or processed overseas. We take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected to a comparable standard.
4. Our builder
Python Group's construction is led by our own Head of Construction, a licensed Master Builder. Restricted building work on a project is carried out or supervised by Licensed Building Practitioners, as the Building Act 2004 requires. If we need to introduce another trade or consultant to your project, we will tell you who they are and what information we are sharing with them.
5. Cookies, analytics and fonts
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not currently run analytics. The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests files from Google's servers and your IP address is visible to Google when you visit. Our social media links (such as Instagram) lead to third-party services with their own privacy policies. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy.
6. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and then delete or de-identify it.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. To do so, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time the Privacy Act requires.
8. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
